So moved by the way the team worked together, an employee working the tech and sound found herself curious about what event was happening. She didn’t even realize that her shift had ended—but instead of clocking out, she stayed until the very end. By the end, she joined in the worship, even raising her shoes with everyone else a declaration that she would carry the love of Jesus onto her campus.
Afterwards, she shared that she had distanced herself from Christianity for years and didn’t want to identify as a Christian. But hearing the message that night made her feel something she hadn’t in a long time—she said it made her want to pursue Jesus again. When her manager came in at the end, upset that she had stayed past her shift, the girl simply apologized and explained, “I’m sorry, I just got distracted listening to them talk about God.”
How else would they identify us, but by our love for one another?
